Southern Cortex is an independent Australian company. This policy covers personal information handled by Southern Cortex through this website.

We collect only the information needed to respond to you and run this website:
- Information you give us: when you use our contact form or email us, your name, business name, email address, phone number (optional), the area you are interested in, and the contents of your message.
- Technical information: our web hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and date and time) to operate and secure the website.
- Cookies and tracking: at the date of this policy we do not use analytics, advertising trackers or non-essential cookies on this website. If that changes, we will update this policy.

We collect personal information directly from you when you submit the contact form or contact us by email, and automatically through server logs when you visit the website.
4. Why we collect and use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and arrange demonstrations;
- provide information about the products and services we offer;
- operate, maintain and secure this website; and
- meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Marketing
We will only send you marketing messages where you have given consent or where the law otherwise allows, and every marketing message will identify us and include a way to unsubscribe, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Replying to your enquiry is not marketing.

If you think we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us at hello@southerncortex.com with the details. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
12. Data breaches
If an eligible data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify the affected individuals and the OAIC as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

This website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
